General User Information
Employee access to remote features is via the Internet, and there are a variety of factors that come into play. For example:
  • Is Internet access directly through a client server, as when using a networked computer at a client site?

  • Is a dial up modem connection being used to connect to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) as when using CompuServe, AOL, Access Toledo, etc.?

Each method involves different steps, instructions and a number of connection variables that affect speed and computer setup. Remote users are strongly encouraged to have a basic understanding of their unique situation.

Obtaining remote access involves internal SSOE requirements as well. Corporate C&IS needs to ensure that individuals have an SSOE login to the network domain, and that a password has been set. The employee's separate Deltek Vision account setup and requirements should be verified as well; this is frequently a Corporate Accounting and HR activity.
